Pine Cliffs
Pine Cliffs is a 5 minute drive from Villa Sereia. It may be “just”a 9-hole course but it’s world renowned nonetheless. Pine Cliffs has a spectacular setting on the cliffs of Albufeira and offers attractive ocean views. Easy to play in general, the famous last hole, nicknamed “Devil’s Parlour”, requires a drive over a shallow ravine.
Vilamoura
Perhaps the best known and the brightest star on the Algarve is Vilamoura. An approx 15 minute drive from Villa Sereia, Vilamoura is a delightful harbour town that has been transformed into a comprehensive golf complex The Victoria and Old are among Europe’s best, and are supported by the Millennium, Laguna, Pinhal, plus Vila Sol.
Surrounding Vilamoura is a host revered golfing names – Quinta Do Lago, San Lorenzo and Vale Do Lobo are the cream of the crop along this remarkable golfing paradise. Alternatives to Vilamoura include Tavira to the east, whose highlight is the amazing Nicklaus-designed Monte Rei, while to the west, the star of the show is Penina, one of Europe’s favourite golf resorts.
